Tips for playing a high notes on brass instruments?

Specifically, I'm trying to play a high C and D on a French horn, which I am finding very hard to do. Its possible until the Bb closest to Middle F and then the succeeding notes are played completely by chance. Does anyone have any tips for playing these notes right easily and quickly, since these notes pop up in some tests and I can't tune every time to get these notes.

Practice makes perfect! Make sure as you practice you use a tuner, and really work on centering each note. It takes a long time to increase your upper register, so patience is important.

You need to make sure that you can "hear the note" before you play it. Don't just use the correct fingering and play a note, hoping it is the right one. When you practice, play the note an octave lower, making sure you are perfectly in tune. Then, when you have the correct pitch in your mind, play the target note, focusing on a clean crisp attack. Also...breath support!!! If you feel that you must cram your lips into the mouthpiece to produce high notes, ease off on the pressure, and step up on the breathing. Rest often when working your high chops.
